Mercedes-Benz 190 b was a part of the Mercedes-Benz Series 121 line referred to as "Ponton Mercedes", namely, one the four-cylinder models that ran between 1959 and 1962. The 190 b model itself, though, was only available until 1961.

The car had the eponymous inline-four engine, mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and it was capable of 80 horsepower. It featured a flatter hood, a wider and lower-placed radiator grill, slightly larger bumpers without guards, and taillights fitted with reflectors. More distinctive features included chrome window strips and the chrome-plated rain runnels. One could also get the car chassis-only, with two- and four-door partial bodies, too, if building a custom model; they were available for the same three-year span.
